confession

I don't have anything against the church, but somehow, in some sort of way we've slipped a bit away from the Bible.

But what I want to say in this, many people who have been in the church for a long time, often don't confess their sins. Many get caught up in this thought, where they think if they say they have a problem with sin, they will be called a "fake" christian, but really, if you don't say you have a problem and say you're perfect, THEN you will be more of a "fake" christian. I am pretty sure 99% of all people who are born again would get up and say, me too. The Bible says that we should confess our sins to each other. I didn't confess the one area of sin which I have had a lot of problems with, until about last month. This sin is lust, porn and self-fornication. Or in other words masturbation. I saw my first adult film when I was 7 years old, and was addicted since I was at the mere age of 10. I got saved when I was 14, so four years of addiction, everyday. Stopping was no downhill bike ride.

1 John 1:6-9

If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness,(A) we lie and do not live out the truth.(B) But if we walk in the light,(C) as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all[a] sin.(D)
If we claim to be without sin,(E) we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.(F) If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins(G) and purify us from all unrighteousness.(H)

  1. I am repented! But yesterday I was seeing porn in the internet. I know this is wrong, also people created in Gods image and I treat them as objects. Lord forgive-me in Jesus name.
